Q: Maybe I am going about defraging the wrong way? I go into Settings- click on Control Panel - click on Performance & Maintenance then finally click on rearrange items on my hard disk. That is when I ger the messqage above!
A: Try defragging in safe mode. Sometimes if programs running in the background and are writing to disc it gives problems. safe mode doesn't load a lot of stuff (drivers etc.)
