Best way to clean my CDs and other disks?

Q: I pulled out a couple disks i hadn't used in a while and they were very sticky and dusty. I hope they work after cleaning, because they're quite scratched. Best way to clean them?

A: Actually, best way to clean CDs, DVDs without paper labels is to put just a drop of soft, liquid soap on them and then wash it off with your fingers using COLD water, dry it with a lint-free cotton cloth or towel. DO NOT use synthetic fabrics like nylon, rayon, etc. they will scratch the disk just like they scratch a car's paint.
