Q: Hi ppl i have an orginal xp cd with me and i would like to make a iso file out of it so that i can boot with the iso image in the future can somebody help .??? i know that we have use software like nero express , sonic etc but wat files do i need to convert into iso ??? complicated and confused thanks a lot .........pls help
A: What do you mean, boot with the Iso in the future? By booting with the Iso, since it's an Operating System, you would first need to burn the Iso to a Disk. Basically, you would have Two XP disks. Why not just keep the original, or better yet, burn the original? If you think you're going to be able to just mount the ISO once you have it, and boot from the Iso like that, you can't. The ISO won't be mounted until after the Operating System loads, so you won't be able to "boot from cd..." persay.
