Q: So, im not the best with computers, but what is a CPU and how many does a average home PC have? 2. What is the diffrence between cell broadband engine and the normal PC/360 CPU? thank you so much
A: cpu = central processing unit. basically the brains of the computer, it processes all information the computer utilizes an average home PC will have one cpu. skulltrail has 2, but thats not your average PC. servers can have 2 or 4. each cpu can vary in the amount of cores. so i guess... a cpu is actually a head. a head with 1 brain, 2 brains, or 4 brains. the brains represent the core whats a cell broadband engine? probably some crap with the ps3 i bet. the 360 cpu is a specialized cpu dedicated to gaming performance. the 360 doesnt need to process any other peripheral processes, even tho it could for informative purposes, skulltrail is a gaming motherboard that is for enthusiasts. basically, its for crazy people who want the best performance available. the skulltrail motherboard alone costs 600, but only one type of processor can fit into the skulltrail motherboard, and you have to buy 2 because skulltrail uses 2 cpus. thats around $3,600 for the 2 processors and the motherboard. expensive huh?
