Q: OK! I'm in the process of upgrading my towercase and I wanted to duplicate my internal hard drive. The problem is that my old towercase is IDE (or "I" something) and my new one is SATA. Are there any handheld hard drive duplicators that can transfer information from a IDE drive to a SATA one? I was also considering Copy Commander 9.0, but I'm not sure if it was copy everything from my old hard drive into my new one. I think it's called ghost imaging or something. If you're not familiar with copy commander 9.0, then what would you recommend. I've heard of Norton Ghost, but I'm sure which version is right for what I'm looking for. Any suggestions?
A: the only hardware that is changing is the hard drive? a good ghosting program is acronis true image home. if you create the boot disk, you can boot up with it and replicate the hard drive. that works with all kinds of drives, even USB if you motherboard can detect prior to loading windows.
