Q: Sorry i asked this a 2nd time but im on a tight budget and cannot spend money on hardware if its not the one I need so I need more opinions. i have had this computer for 5 years now and I think the motherboard is dying and want to buy a new one but i want to make sure its the motherboard. heres the problem everytime i start up my computer it wont boot and sometimes when its on the windows xp logo it just turns off after it loads or it freezes. At times it takes at least 10 mins to keep restarting because the computer cannot make it to the account screen because it keeps freezing or just turn off. It makes a annoying low pitched noise but im not sure if its from the cpu or crt.the motherboard is a AMD Sempron 2400+ .but sometimes after i restart the comp 5 times it tells me something about bad checksum or something like that
A: Sounds like either your hard drive or processor is going bad. It is probably the hard drive. Bad checksum has to do with your hardware for your hard drive.
