i've just copied all my sky+programs to dvd-RW and want to burn them to dvd.help needed?

Q: i have just copied my tv programme's from my sky+ box to dvd-rw with the intent to store them on my external hdd to finally free up space on my sky box. i want to burn the dvd files that i have extracted from my RW onto dvd-r. but evrytime i've used my basic sonicstage software that came with my pc to burn stuff to dvd, it's not always recognized as a dvd-video (or dvd-rom) and i have to select what media i want to play(video, picture, music). i think it just creates a data disc.this is not what i want! i want to put my dvd files onto a dvd disc and burn them so i can just play them on any dvd player.. what software do i need to do this? is it a burner i'm after or dvd software? i know it sounds noobish of me but i'm a novice for this sort of thing.my disc drive carries a dvd multi recorder and RW writable so is this a burner and i just need the software, right? what is the best software to use? nero? i want an easy one. any help would be most helpful!!

A: I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, on windows, never had a problem! It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD! it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it 1. Download ConvertXtoDVD from vso official site here: http://www.dvd-to-ipod-converter.com/convert-to-dvd.html It can convert any video file.. like wmv, mpeg, asf, mp4, avi to dvd 2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle 3. Insert blank DVD 4. Click "Convert" 5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =) ConvertXtoDVD has a lot of extra nice features too, for example you can make your own DVD menu or auto-generate it, add subtitles, auto-burn to dvd or save your conversion.
