Q: I want to buy an external portable hard disk & im looking for the smallest 500gb+. i have found the buffalo ministation which has an ultraportable size that is gr8. if u know any other brands or drives more than 500 gb or 500gb, it would be really helpful! ohh n if it has firewire its even better cause i use a mac!
A: the smaller ones top out at about 200gb, I normally wouldn't bother saying this, but just for the record I think I should. it doesn't matter if you use a mac or not, firewire is on a ton of computers, and most hard drive have firewire, but even those have the major performance bottlenecks that USB drives have too, the ones that don't suffer from that sort of thing are eSATA drives.
