Q: What factors are needed to be considered when buying one, and how do I figure out the factors? How do I change the cards, and what steps do I need to take?
A: Things to consider: Hardware What slot does your motherboard have: AGP or PCI-Express How much power does it take to run, and can your power supply, well, supply it. What power cables/connectors does it need, and does your power supply have them, or can you get them. Things to consider: Software What do you want to do - different cards are better at different things. What games do you want to play. Some cards are great at one game but suck at another. Check on www.tomshardware.com in their graphics card reviews, or a similar review site. Things to consider: Wallet How much can you afford to spend. Think carefully.
