A: Well, as far as RAM goes, do a Crucial Scan. It's free, cheap, and always right. It will tell you exactly what kind of RAM you need. To increase your Virtual Memory, follow the steps below. Pay attention to the 2 tips at the bottom, they're important. 1.Select Start> Control Panel. 2.Select Performance and Maintenance> System. 3.On the Advanced tab, under Performance, select Settings. 4.On the Advanced tab, under Virtual Memory, select Change. 5.Under Drive, select the drive that contains the paging file that you want to change. 6.Under Paging file size for selected drive, select Custom size check box. You can enter the amount of memory you would like to have for Virtual memory by entering the initial and maximum size. 7. Select Set. When you are prompted to restart the computer, select Yes. !! 2 things to remember !! 1.You should choose equal amounts for the initial size and maximum size. This will prevent your machine from constantly changing the paging file. 2.Before you reset the virtual memory, set it to "0" and select OK and restart your PC. This will clear your cache and prevent a fragmented cache file.
