Q: i cant tell if my pc has a single or daul core processor. i have people saying i have single and others saying i have daul. ok, heres the info so you guys can tell me the truth - the sticker on my pc says it is an "524 intel Pentium 4 processor - on windows task manager, it shows 2 different line graphs on CPU usage history( my brother told me this a hint it is a daul core) - in dxdiag, which showes more detail about your pc, it says this under processor "3.06ghz( 2 CPUs)"
A: That is a HT CPU, and while not dual core, it performs similar to one. A processor with Hyper-Threading enabled is treated by the operating system as two processors instead of one.Technically, you have 1 core.
