Q: what does defraging your computer mean?
A: Hey, defragging (defragmenting) is the process of re-ordering all the unused space on your hard drive, as it tends to get cluttered up, and un-ordered. It's useful because of the way a hard drive works.. the less jumbled up your files are across the hard drive, the faster they can be read. Defragmenting your drives every week or so can make your computer run quicker and be more responsive. If you want to know how to defragment a drive (assuming you're on windows XP), click Start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk defragmenter. If you are on another version of Windows, like Vista, then you can just search for Defragmenter in the search bar when you click Start. Hope this answers your question! x
