Q: Please tell me what kind of RAM this is. I compared it to a regular sized stick of SIMM RAM in one of the pics(the longer one). http://i29.tinypic.com/29e62x2.jpg http://i31.tinypic.com/29en31t.jpg http://i26.tinypic.com/2edrqx4.jpg Sorry, the first longer stick isn't SIMM, it's DDR SDRAM. I got confused.
A: The very first one in the first picture is newer. Notice the half-moon notches on each end for Motherboard clips. All the other ones are much older, circa 1994 or 1995. I have a pile of them here. I used them in an old Macintosh Performa 6240. I am pretty sure they are 72pin models. I'm sure they are still good, just small and useful in much older computers. The Performa was prior to OS X on the Mac, and around the time of a 486 (80486) or Pentium (Pentium 1) on the PC side.
