Q: ok i have not changed types of disk nor have i changed my drive or anything or installed any new burning software. i know i have a cd writer cause ive made cd's before! but all of a sudden i cant write music to a cd!. it keeps asking me to put a blank cd into my E drive (cd drive) even when theres one in! how do i resolve this issue. please give detailed instructions as im a novice at computers. also im using nero but i have tried using windows media player to. both dont work!
A: sounds like some problem w/ the actual drive.....what you wanna do is the following 1. click start 2. right click My Computer 3. click manage 4. when the window comes out click Device Manager 5. in device manager click DVD/CD-ROM drives 6. you should see your writer in there, click on it 7. at the top, you should see a button saying uninstall 8. click on it and follow the instructions to uninstall 9. restart the computer afterwards 10. that should fix everything ^_^
