Can i use next-gen graphics cards on my PC?

Q: I have an ASUS p5k moterboard with a p35 chipset so can i use cards like Nvidia 8800 GT and ATI 3870? An then I hear i need a good power supply but i don't know how mant watts my PC has and problem is i am in the US but my PC is in Italy so i can't see the power supply... And if i DON't have a good power supply can i replace it? how much will it cost me? Any HELP PLEASE?

A: you can run either card and a good rule of thumb is 450W for a single card and 550W for SLI/crossfire... here is a great resource for a new PSU. http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=131195 EDIT after looking at your profile you have asked this 9 times total. you have your answer. YES it will work, NO it will not work to its full potential since you have a PCIe 1.0 slot, and YES more than likely you will need a new power supply. go to the link I provided, pick one at newegg and buy it...
