Q: i have vista and on the desktop i right clicked on personalized and onto display settings slided the resolution bar and clicked apply, then it went to a black screen and it sed "out of range" now i have to start up in "safe mode with networking" it tryed adjusting it while in safe mode i tryed adjusting the settings on the actual moniter (the buttons) please help
A: you have set it outside the safe range of your Monitor. Unless you can set it to 640 x 480 in safe mode, then re-start and re-set it to a SENSIBLE setting you have a real problem. Try this trick first. NEVER change it without testing that the setting works first.
