Q: I currently have a fairly new HP computer and I am trying to hook my Dish Network to my computer monitor. The directions that came with the computer says to hook it up to the box but the room I have the t.v. in is just a cable, the box is in the other room. Do you know what components are needed to hook a t.v. cable to my computer monitor to watch T.V. on?
A: I have software and an internal card from Hauppauge. The TV cable connects directly to the card and am able to watch, change channels even with remote, and record.
