Diffrences between 1080p TV and normal monitor?

Q: i have a 1080p TV, and a normal monitor (19") the thing is i've got some blure ray 1080p movies and i can actually see how good they are when you compare them with a normal movie, but i just don't see any diffrences when i play it on my monitor or my full 1080p TV. they both look the same, i mean i can't say it looks better on PC. why do you think that is? btw both my monitor and TV are conected to my PC on a dual screen setup. thanks

A: computer monitors depending on which you have usualy have a higher pixel count so it will generate more pixels so it will be the same quality on a smaller screen so its quality isnt much noticible the only difference you'll see is the screen size from a computer monitor to your actuall tv's and if you've got your pc plugged into your tv's where you've got the blu-ray ps3 or player plugged in than thats why you dont see the difference... cuz your pc is generating the same resolution if not higher then your 1080p... check out this youtube video it explained alot for me. (in my source, and if you click on their youtube username they have more stuff about monitors, tv's etc....
