Q: it was working when i bought my computer (HP a6457c) then i downgraded to xp and back to vista now my monitor doest detect any usb device i tried downloading and installing the driver could it be the wires??? please it really irritates me
A: Check to make sure that the USB cable from your monitor to your computer is still connected. Your monitor is just a USB hub and needs to be connected to the computer. (That connection is on the back of the monitor near the DVI and VGA connectors.) To check that it is working, disconnect it and reconnect it. You should get the USB disconnect and connect sounds by just removing the cable from the back of the monitor. If you do not, try a different USB cable. Assuming that works, then trying inserting the USB devices to the ports on the side of the monitor.
