Q: i am a vfx artist and require a the best monitor for graphics i think crts are better but they are hard to find these days pls suggest any one of them or should i go for the lcd my crt choices are crt monitors 21" VIEWSONIC G810 G810b G220f G220fb 22" VIEWSONIC p220f P225fb P225fb 21" HP P1130 22" P1230 21" Philips 202P40 21" SONY G500 and my lcd choices are well there is only one as of now Samsung SyncMaster 2232GW
A: It doesn't matter how big is the monitor the most important thing is the resolution or refresh rate. Try to get a minimum resolution of 1680x1050 and you will do fine. I have 15 inch laptop and it has that resolution and things look awesome. Refresh rate of more than 75Hz is required. I have TFT monitor which is 17" and has resolution of 1440x900. Just look for maximum resolution it can support and the refresh rate. All the best. Pushker
