Q: hey i have two 8600 gt nvidia gainward video cards running on SLR and the other day i heard some strange noises from them (i think it was them) and i reset my computer after i did that i could'nt get the resolution to go past 1024 and normally its 1680 x 1050 pixels and after tring to fix that with system restore and driver updates it didnt work but when i uninstalkled all the drivers for them the resolution went back to normal but at a low standard of qaulity..then after resetting it again with the new driver (which didnt work) the monitor now doesnt recieve any signals and the video crads still make the noise!!! plz help!!!!
A: Have you tried looking at the refresh rate? try booting in to safe mode change the refresh rate and see what happens, some LCD monitors don't like high refresh rates, although I don't think that will effect your graphic card resolution capabilities.
