Q: I connected my 52" sony LCD on my laptop using a HD15 to HD15 connection but the LCD does not get anything, is there a sofware that has to be turn on and off on the control panel and my laptop is about three years old. Thanks for all your answers.
A: There my be a function key you need to toggle to switch from the built-in monitor to the TV, or both. On mine (Dell) it's Fn-F8. If you can't find it, try booting after you connected the TV. The other thing you want to check is the resolution and refresh rate you have selected. It might be to high for the TV.
