Q: Well im a gamer...and well as always im looking for some new hardware. The things i have to have are a PCI-E 2.0 motherboard, and a new video card, but a new monitor wasn't quite in my budget. Is my old analog lcd still up to par? http://www.amazon.com/NEC-LCD1712-Monitor-Silver-Black/dp/B0002C98DG
A: Sure your old VGA monitor will work just fine! What's with the LCD monitor link? Wishlist? Here are sum monitors also. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Category/category_tlc.asp?CatId=12&name=Monitor-LCDs I think the top two aren't a bad buy. I use a 19" LCD monitor, and a 21" CRT,( Also called VGA), monitor in dual monitor setup. Edit: If that's your monitor in the link, it's a TFT LCD monitor. There should be a DVI-I or DVI-D port on it. I would buy a DVI cable, plug it into your new graphics card, if it has a DVI port on it. One worthy of gamin' will have one or two on it. It probably has the VGA, and DVI dual link on the monitor.
