Q: i was wondering if anyone could help me.. this is a picture of my computer. http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/feature_stories/2006/images/06vista-2.jpg with an hp vs17e monitor. for some reason, the sound isn't coming out of the left side of the monitor anymore, i defragmented my computer last week, but the sound was working fine, then i noticed about two days ago the sound isn't working at all on the left side. when i plug headphones [ipod headphones] in, they work fine, and i have no problem. any help would be greatly appreciated. i've had this monitor for about one and a half to two years now.
A: Check where your monitor plugs in to the computer. Make sure the speaker plug is pushed in all the way. Also check it at the end the connects to the monitor. If the sound has a balance control, check to see that it is in the middle.
