Monitor Question - Two part

Q: Alright, this is a two part Question. First one is, is the brand of monitor I'm looking at good, or is it in between or shit. Second one is, can I run this monitor on my video set up thing. I've found my video card or where ever I put my monitor into is some sort of PCI/AGP input, yet the staples site says DVI... uh oh, can I still use this monitor... Now to go into more detail on the first Question (Feel free to line them 1. and 2. if you wish): I found a monitor on Staples that looks nice. Its an Envison 22" wide-screen LCD Monitor at only $199.98. Its apparently $80 off, so it looks like an awesome deal. If you go to staples.com and search the code for it (The code from the catalog is 732257, simply copy and paste this into the Staples search thing to find the page on the monitor) you can find the page on it. Here's the page on the monitor: http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/StaplesProductDisplay?jspStoreDir=Staples&fromUrl=home&catalogId=10051&productId=220191&cmArea=SEARCH&langId=-1&storeId=10001&cmSearchKeyword=732257&specTabId=1#desclink My second Question is I'm not sure if my graphics/video card can handle it. My graphics card is really old, but I can't seem to find anything better as its a PCI input. What ever that is. The thing is, the monitor says it takes DCI... uh, whats that mean and can I use it with my computer? Here's what I've found through staples: * Tech Specs Maximum Resolution 1680x1050 Image Contrast Ratio 1000:1 Image Brightness 300 cd/m2 Input Signal DVI, Analog Compatibility PC Dimensions 16.1 x 20.4 x 8.5 Weight 12.8lbs Warranty 3 year warranty Here's my graphics card and some computer specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz 37GB Hard drive (Have a 100GB I need to put in) Video AdapterIntel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller (96 MB) Thats all I really know, but if you need any other information to help you answer these questions, just ask, I'll update it.

A: I'm not to familair with envision, but I haven't heard anything bad really. Here's a review for the monitor if you want to take alook: http://sympatico-msn-ca.com.com/lcd-monitors/envision-g2219w1/4505-3174_7-32976440.html?subj=Envision+G2219W1&tag=feed&part=sympatico-msn-ca Seems likea good deal for $200 for a 22" LCD. The monitor will work though don;t worry :) The monitor has DVI and VGA inputs meaning it can accept an analog signal (VGA) or Digital signal (DVI) from your computer. VGA had been the standard for along time, while DVI is the current digital standard for computer monitors. TI'd wager you have a VGA connection on that chipset though :)
