Q: Omg! I was on my computer and a wasp flew around my head and I had a glass of water/ice in my hand and I accidently screamed and the water went everywhere! I wiped everything up right away! The keyboard, mouse and then computer tower thing all work, but the screen will not turn on!! Please help me! Is there any way it may still work? What should I do! In tears and using laptop, PLEASE HELP!! I accidently turned it on once after it happened and a green line went across the screen before it turned on! It won't turn on now, I think some water may have gotten into the holes on top the moniter too!
A: Check all of the cables and make sure everything is plugged in to make sure you didn't knock anything loose. If you spilled a lot of water and it went into the holes at the top/back of your monitor (depending on what type you have, CRTs (old boxy ones) usually have these) then you may need a new monitor. Also as an extra precaution wait until tomorrow before you try to use the computer again, just so things can dry.
