Q: i've just bought a new 22" monitor and it keeps telling to increase the resolution up to 1680 1050, can anyone tell me how to do this, thank you
A: i just had the same problem, did you install the driver? if not then do so, also press the auto button when it pops up. if the driver doesnt fix it then honestly it will eventually go away like it did with me! lol , cause if your comp is a few years old you will not have that much resolution and you will need to get a new graphics card, in order for your monitor to function at its full capability. but the message does go away and since your comp most likely doest have a good enough craphics card your screen will look fine but smaller text will come out a little fuzzy. so buy a graphics card. but you dont need it or at least i dont feel like i need mine since im broke from buying the screen lol . well hope i helped
