Q: Hey all , When i switch on the computer the monitor screen turns black but there is still power in it??? if i switch the monitor off and on again it works for a few seconds and turns black again it has taken me 15 mins to type this Q lol any help would be great thanks xxxxx it is a LCD xerox monitor xm3-19w and wont stay on for more than 30 sec now am typing this on a blank screen lmao (well not really funny to me as ive punched it ten times )
A: Could be the monitor. Could be the video card. Could be a loose conection. Best to have it checked out by someone who is familiar with computers. If it is an older computer it may not be worth getting it fixed since there are many fairly good computers on the market for a few hundred dollars and they will have an updated operating system installed.
