Q: I changed the display resolution on RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 to 1024x768 (the resolution that the screen is outside of the game) and it says on my monitor signal over range. Why is this? I don't want to run the game at 800x600 since the graphics are far too big.
A: Check what refresh rate the game is running at. I would guess the game is defaulting to a rate that is too high for your monitor. For an LCD anything over 60 Hz is pointless. For a CRT try setting it to 75 Hz. If that does not work then drop it to 60 Hz, but the flicker will probably be annoying.
