Q: Okay so, my DELL starts up fine, and as it gets passed the "Loading windows screen" (Windows XP PRO) The screen turns black and the monitor lights move side to side. The last time I used it, about a month ago, it worked perfectly fine. I am experienced with computers ( tech support), however I have never encountered this problem before. A: Hey there, It sounds like your graphics driver has become corrupted somehow. I would recommend booting into safe mode (restart the comp, keep pressing F8 until a menu comes up and choose Safe Mode) and uninstalling the graphics driver through the System control panel. Restart the comp back into normal mode and allow Windows to install the driver it thinks is best. Good luck! :)
