Q: can a CRT 800x600 show high def videos from a web site? or will it downgrade visually to 480? it was built in 2000.
A: the fact that its CRT has nothing to do with its resolution. It really depends on the age. If its so old it can only handle 8x6 then it will downgrade. But it sounds like a graphics card limitation not the monitor.
