Q: A hard object hit my screen and produced a spider crack. Would continuing to use it be no big deal or would tossing it be advisable ? The crack is not in the way-located in lower right of screen and doesn't seem to be traveling. So I plan on using it still.
A: Saying that it sounds like a LCD, it won't be dangerous, but if it was a CRT, yes. they have hazardous materials inside and if it was a CRT, trash it right away! Either way, I would just buy a new monitor. I have a Dell E152FP that ive had for 3 years, and ive gotten it from my grandpa and he had it for about 3 years. LCDs will last a LONG time!!!
