Q: When I was on my computer this morning, it was working fine, and I accidentally dropped the mouse onto the tower. This happens sometimes, and the screen went off - i just assumed the mouse had knocked one of the cables. However, I've checked all the cables, unplugged and replugged them all in, turned the screen on and off, turned the computer on and off, and nothing seems to work! When I turn the screen on, the green light comes on, but then it just turns straight to the orange light, and stays that way. Has anyone got any clue what might be wrong with it, or what ese I can try? Thanks. EDIT: I'd tried all that alreafdy - hasn't done anything =s Oh, and it's an LCD screen.
A: open the tower up and check the internal connections are inserted correctly as you dropping the mouse could have dislodged the data cable from the motherboard to the graphics card or the power cable going to the graphics card make sure you have the computer switched off and that you touch a radiator or tap (faucet) before touching inside the machine as static can damage components
