Q: the cord itself is fine but it's the thing that's connected to the prongs is what's broken. is there any way you can fix it without buying a new cord? No it wasnt the prongs it's the round part that's connected to the prongs
A: cut the part off. get an extension cord. cut the part off the extension cord. strip the cords, connect the black wire to the black, and the white to the white, and put a wire nut on each.
