A: There could be more that one solutions in trouble shooting your hardware 1) Display driver/software not compatible is the cheapest solution to check out, make sure its the right version from the vendor 3) under the Windows->control panel->display adapter-> colour schemes (Make sure the display adapter is correct and make sure the colour scheme is not altered to the wrong manufacturer on sRGB settings, quite common issues on software related matters 2) Display card faulty, try adding a vga card unto your motherboard and plug the monitor cable behind the new VGA card installed 3) Replace the right chipset and speed for your motherboard on the RAM because RAM chips can cause lines on monitors if they are not compatible, this is the most common case i encountered during my computer outfield repairwork in Elken, HVN, General Plus, etc,etc... 4) Motherboard issue if it is an onboard display chipshet 5) Install a voltage regulator onto your PC set if your home wires are tapped by neighbour and electricity voltage is altered by transformer, these normally will not happen unless your neighbour is an "unprofessional ettiquette electrician" who taps wires for free electricity. Most professional electrician will not do that if their come from a good family moral values background. Andy Thoo Wai Kiat from Singtel on hardware troubleshooting
