Q: Okay, so my computer has a DVI out, and my TV has an HDMI in. I bought a cable to connect them, so that should be fine. Now I just need to get the audio working. What is the cable that I need to buy to get from my onboard audio to the TV? By the way, how is the video quality of DVI on a big screen? Would it be good enough to watch the Olympics via online stream? Thanks a lot
A: DVI-D will give perfect reproduction. So it will depend on the quality of the streaming signal. Garbage In - Garbage Out. Without knowing what connectors your computer and TV have for audio I can not be definite as to what cable you will need. I would suspect that you would want a 3.5 mm stereo plug (computer) to twin RCA connectors (TV). Check the back of your TV and see if there is anything associated with the HDMI ports.
