My moniter all of a sudden zoomed in and everything was really pixelated?

Q: My mom was playing solitaire and then all of a sudden, the screen zoomed in to 800 by 600 pixels when normally we set it to 1280 by 800 pixels. now, if I try and set the moniter to 1280 by 800 pixels the bottom bar where start and msn icons are doesn't show and everything seems pushed in horizontally. it's more thin and blurry and every other setting I set it to is too stretched out or too pixelated or blurry. what is wrong with my monitor all of a sudden? I even unplugged the moniter and plugged it in again and also restarted my computer. can someone help me please? thanks.

A: hi tried to re-size your screen resolution to 1024x 768 and set to higher color. Now if its still has a problem, maybe you have to check your monitor DPI settings, set it to a 96dpi. If its still has a problem try to check your system settings 1. got control panel 2. select system 3. select hardware and click for the device manager 4. click for the display adapter and monitor 5. now if you see a question mark icon, then video driver was corrupted. you have to download and re-install driver for your video. hey, but if your using XP, you can restore it w/o having re-installing your driver just follow this steps. 1. click on start 2. select all programs 3. select accessories 4. click on system restore now you can restore your pc settings back were it has no problem, just select the month, days you want to restore. hope it could help you a bit :)
