Q: across the top of my monitor there is a big green spot t it only gets rid if all the blue areas and replaces it with green i know it a problem with my video card but can you tell me if there is anything i can do lol i just set a speaker next to my computer and wen i took it off it worked perfectly
A: I am making the assumption that it is an LCD monitor. When discolorations as such happen, it is usually due to damaged crystals. As far as I know, there isn't a way to repair that. Looks like you'll have to get a new monitor if you want that gone. Now if it is a CRT monitor (the big clunky ones), the monitor's menu should have a degausing feature, which will remove that spot hopefully. CRT monitors are prone to this when magnets (in a phone or speakers, for example) are too close to the monitor. Hope that helps you out.
