Q: ok, well my computer has all the command and conquer first decade games on it, but whenever i play the zero hour or generals (the ones that are 3-d) its works fine with only a bit of lag, but then after 20-25 minutes of gameplay, my moniter will shut off and when i turn it on it'll say it has no signal, forcing me to restart my computer. can anyone tell me why this is happening and what i can do to fix it? thanks alot! thanks, im only 13 so ill get my dad to look at it.
A: Sounds like the more taxing games are overheating your graphics card. Probably the fan on it has stopped working. They can be replaced, but I would take it to a small local computer store or ask someone you trust to replace it for you, or even just to check it. If you are not comfortable with this yourself. *Edit* Of course it could be as simple as those answers above, never thought of that. Then again if it was that, then it would happen all the time, not jsut in 3d games. It's a possibility though.
