ps3 with a monitor, help?

Q: OK im really stupid I guess but this seems really hard to understand. I have a 40gb ps3 and a pc monitor, and I want to use my ps3 with it, can someone just draw it out for me on what cabels I need, what I need to have and everything, i will provide you will all the information I have. Display Type Flat panel display / TFT active matrix Width 16.7 in Depth 7.9 in Height 16.9 in Weight 11.2 lbs Dot Pitch / Pixel Pitch 0.294 mm Max Resolution 1280 x 1024 / 75 Hz Color Support 24-bit (16.7 million colors) Max Sync Rate (V x H) 75 Hz x 81 KHz Video Bandwidth 140 MHz Response Time 8 ms Video Output None Signal Input DVI-D, VGA Features MagicTune, MagicBright Image brightness 300 cd/m2 My ps3 has 2 usb ports unused and an hmdi output unused, so the cord has to connect in that into my monitor. Please help whoever expplains best gets 10points ok thanks for the help it sounds like its going to cost around 30$ and the sound will be a problem and i found a 17"inch used tv for 35$ so i think i'll stick with that.

A: Okay if your monitor has the DVI-D you're fine. All that you need is an HDMI to DVI-D converter and you should be fine. Plug the HDMI into your Ps3 and the DVI-D into the DVI-D connector. If that doesn't work shoot me an email.
