What's wrong with my computer?! HELP.?

Q: My computer screen wouldn't work, so I restarted my computer. Still didn't work, tried about 3 times. Then I just unplugged and restarted my computer. It worked this time- But my screen and icons were too big. I went on Control Panel and tried to fix the resolution size back to (600x800 pixels) normal size, but it keeps going back to the low resolution. I tried to fix the DPI, but it is at normal size. I'm about to get a seizure, can anyone help me?? Nothing seems to be working, It won't go back to the way it was, even if I restart my computer. Thanks, Brian. That guy's a jerk. Hey, Brian, I appreciate all your help. and everyone else, Thanks for your answers. I tried doing it your way, restarted my computer. Unfortunately, it didn't work, so I'm assuming the video driver is going haywire. Any other tips?

A: If you folow Billy C's advice, your system would be trashed... Answer has been reported for abuse. Sounds like you need to re-install your video drivers. Go to the computer manufacturer's web site and check for video drivers for your model of computer. This should fix your problems. It's also possible your hard drive got slightly corrupted by turning it off.. Go to your "my computer" right-click on the "C drive", go to properties, click on the "tools" tab and you will see a "Check drive/volume" for errors. click on the button. Another box will pop up, put a check box in the top box, click the "ok" it will tell you that it can't do it right now because the volume is in use, and ask if you want to perform the check the next time you reboot, tell it YES, then restart your computer normally. When it restarts a black "DOS box" will open, don't do anything, it will go through the disk check and restart again normally. That may fix the problem without having to re-download and install the video drivers.
