How do you reduce monitor glare on an LCD screen?

Q: I just purchased a 22" Acer LCD monitor and I just figured how to let the monitor auto-adjust itself to my liking. However, there is still a "glare" to it that makes images more fuzzy. It really doesn't bother me, but it could be sharper- and it's a tad too bright. Would buying a privacy/anti-glare filter for my monitor help? There is no source of light nearby, the glare is coming from the monitor itself!

A: There are many ways to kill glare while using an LCD screen; 1. Sun light is the mother of all glares. Make sure you face your monitor opposite from the direction the sun is comming from, which is in most cases, the window. 2. Do not have any lights near or shining directly onto the Monitor. Good luck!
