Q: Hey there, I have a 19" LG Flatron L192WS monitor and have been experiencing a problem with it. It's not old or anything. Problem is that when the monitor has been turned off for some time (for instance, for the night or goes into power saving mode) and is later on put back on, areas of the image of the monitor is covered with a dark blue colour. It's mostly in the areas that are normally dark black. One example would be with my background image. It has quite a bit of black in and that is replaced by the dark blue. Videos are also affected by this, the videos on youtube for example. There's this fuzziness to them. Dots also appear. After leaving the monitor on for a while it gets back to it's original state but sometimes that doesn't happen. Anyone out there know why this is occurring and how I could fix it? I have installed the driver that comes with the monitor but that didn't help much. I increased the Refresh Rate from 60 to 75. That only happen to get rid of the dots though I have already tried the monitor on with two different CPUs, so I'm guessing the problem is with the monitor then. Maybe as the second poster said, could be the crystals? Although I have no idea to what that is so I'll search it up later.
A: In all honesty, it could be damaged crystals. If you still have warranty on it, I'd suggest getting that taken care of. The fact that the colors adjust after a period of time suggests that it's not a driver issue and more of a physical problem.
