Q: Ok, Here goes, First of all, Does my 8600GT with 2 DVI slots support dual monitor? secondly, In order to use 2 monitors side by side, do they need to be the same Model? Thirdly, If they dont need to be the same model, do they need to be atleast the same size screen? fourth, is it possible to run games stretched across 2 screens? is this a good idea? A: Yes, the 8600 GT does support it. No, they don't need to be the same model or size. For games, you can, but if it's a 1st person shooter, the crosshair is really annoying because it's right through the middle of both screens. Also, if the game doesn't support dual monitors, you can still do it, it will probably just look really bad.
