Q: I broke my laptop screen so i started to use a CRT screen. But after i reformatted my computer with Windows XP SP2, my screen has been looking like this http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee84/jonph4n/DSCN1286.jpg Ive tweaked the display to the max on the CRT screen and when i check the monitor settings the resolution is stuck at 16 bit 640 x 480. Also all the stuff is set as "default" and it wont let me click on the update drivers link and stuff. What do i do? Please help me =D
A: You may just need to install updated video drivers. It probably installed some old or generic drivers. If you remember what the video card was in the pc, then go to the mfr's website and find your card in the support/download section. download and install.(like if you had a Nvidia chip set go here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us)
