Q: We have been having lots of thunderstorms the last few days. It hasn't seemed to hurt anything. But, thought this may be a problem. My mom tried to do something on her computer, but she could not find her cursor. She said she moved her mouse all around and nothing moved. Her screen looked normal. She leaves her computer on all the time. So, she turned it off. Now it will not come on at all! Nothing, no lights or sounds!! She has tried unplugging, then replugging. Didn't work. She has looked for a reset button, but can't see one. I am going in morning, to help. However if I don't get help here, I can't see where I will be much help for her. LOL!! Thanks
A: press windows key at keyboard to show taskbar, and you can shutdown or restart system, or press Alt+Ctrl+Del to show task manager, CPU for P4 or above has no reset button. Probably hardware related problem, try changing mouse. Thunderstorm : if electricity is intact, might be the induction from lightning strike will damage your computer, if there's thunderstrorm, unplug all connection from your PC (electrical for most, and also phone line attached to your PC) hope would help
