Q: I have a dell (windows xp), and the screen keeps flickering, and then shifting into a size where half of my desktop is situated off to the side of my screen, so I can't see half my desktop icons, or web pages, or anything. I tried to play around with the settings to get the screen to look normal again, but it just looks even more messed up now. Is there any way I can know the default settings, so I can punch them in? or get my screen to look normal again?
A: has this always happened? did you recently make any changes to the laptop? my only though would be try a system restore to a date before this flickering etc started. otherwise if the laptops video card has software installed on the pc I would uninstall it and try to find the latest version and install that?
