Q: here's the problem: i was playing a game yesterday. it's a big game that came with a cd. after 4 hours, my computer suddenly turned off. i thought we had brownout then i found out that it was only my computer that had turned off. now the computer isn't working. when i pressed the power button on the cpu it worked but then the monitor had an orange light. in short, i can't use the computer. i wanna know what might have caused it. the game? or because i plugged the speaker in a 110V in the transformer (which i shouldn't had done) the computer and speakers are both plugged to the same transformer. i was just wondering if that was the cause. but then yesterday wasn't the first time i used the computer with the speakers on the 110V. it was the 2nd time. the first time i had it on for 5 hours approx. how do i fix this?
A: Games can stress your computer because it has to work harder over a longer period of time. If your CPU "works" but the monitor doesn't, attach the monitor to another computer and see if it displays an image. If it is OK, and I suspect is it, one of your components has failed. First check the power supply, then the graphics card, and then the motherboard. My guess is it's the power supply. And plugging the speakers in the same outlet didn't cause it.
