Q: is an lcd monitor like the really old big monitors or do they not sell those anymore? i want to buy a monitor but i want a thin, flat, light one. what is the difference?
A: Flat screen could be an old CRT monitor that has, (get this..hehe) a flat screen as opposed to a slightly domed screen. In other words, a "flat screen monitor" won't necessarily be LCD. A flat panel monitor is what you are thinking of when you say you want a thin one. It will be LCD.
