Q: I want to use my TV as a display for my MacBook, is it possible? My TV set is analogue; I think it takes in the 3 coloured pugs, red, yellow and white. Please tell me which cable or adapter do I need?
A: You need the Apple Mini-DVI to Video Adapter ($19) to convert to composite video (yellow plug) and a standard headphone to RCA (red and white plugs) adapter for the audio. Note that the resolution of your TV is about half that of the MacBook so picture quality will be horrible. It's good for playing low-def movies tho.
